Mehrangarh Fort.... The Great Haritage

Mehrangarh Fort....The Great Heritage

Today in the time of leisure, I took out my external hard disk and connected it to my laptop.
What to do now? I was feeling bored, there was dazzling outside. Cool breeze was blowing outside and some times some drops of rains coming in through window. The weather was very pleasant and full of fun

Connecting hard disk to my laptop, I was start surfing to folders in order to find something to work on. Suddenly, i found the pictures of Mehrangan Fort in my Pictures Folder. These click were catch up by me during my visit to this fort.

WOW!! yes just WOW!!!

Every time i saw this clicks, I just hangs for a while and my mind always said WOW!!! What a clicks, What a Fort. Really if you ever imagine of forts, Do visit to Jodhpur and see this fort you will find what you had imagine was much smaller that this one.

BIG, BEAUTIFUL, GREAT, AWESOME piece of construction and honor in heritage buildings.

Here is some informational details about Mehrangarh fort

The fort is situated 400 feet (122 m) above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls There are seven gates, which include Jayapol (meaning 'victory'), built by Maharaja Man Singh to commemorate his victories over Jaipur and Bikaner armies. Fattehpol (also meaning 'victory') gate was built by Maharaja Ajit Singh to mark the defeat of the Mughals. The palm imprints upon these still attract much attention even today.
The museum in the Mehrangarh fort is one of the most well-stocked museums in Rajasthan. In one section of the fort museum there is a selection of old royal palanquins, including the elaborate domed gilt Mahadol palanquin which was won in a battle from the Governor of Gujarat in 1730. The museum exhibits the heritage of the Rathores in arms, costumes, paintings and decorated period rooms.
Mehrangarh Fort is also a favorite spot for Bollywood and Hollywood movies. Filming of the last installment of the Batman Series, The Dark Knight Rises, began on May 6, 2011, at Mehrangarh Fort.

As soon as you enters the fort you will start imagining the times of kings and the glory of living. Questions start flourishing in your mind that how kings were live, how they manage to stay in such a big fort, how many people were stay together in these fort etc....

The view of Jodhpur city from the top of the fort is awesome. You will easily find out why jodhpur is called as Blue city due to the Blue painted houses around the Meharangard Fort

Its about 2 hrs passes away watching all my clicks and truly speaking, I am feeling very honored and proud to share some of the special click in my blog.

Decades gone, Centuries will go but the glory of Mehrangarh will remain the same.

Salute the legends who were a part in making of this gorgeous man making wonder.
